Vinay, I, for one, cannot see the credibility of NIH, FDA, or CDC going down further...it is already below the sub-basement and is likely descending into the seven levels of hell. The problem is that it is spewing that contents up to the surface where we are forced to consume it.
I have never been so assailed by patients with their lack of respect/trust in the medical establishment in general and any "health" recommendations in particular. This will not be remediated during my lifetime and, I expect, not during yours either. This is 90% the fault of government/democrats who created this debacle and 10% the fault of the rest of the medical community (with the rare exception of outliers like you and the one outlier organization in medicine, the AAPS) who has gone along with this fraud.
It is a sad day and I really never hoped to end my career seeing medicine declining to this point. It needs expulsion of these idiots, a long line of mea culpas, and a starting over with TRANSPARENCY (none of which we have now) to win back the nation's trust. I am not sure ANY of these will happen because the entire industry is captured. What a sad day for patients and patient care.
I think this is a good thing. With the internet, patients have at their fingertips a lot of medical information. Many of my friends have been forced to self-diagnose and some of us have had to self-treat when blown off by a doctor who doesn't believe that we have conditions sometimes ones that our previous practice actually was treating us for.
One thing I know is that I won't get full disclosure for vaccines anymore (those pediatricians retired in 2005).
* I've had two pediatricians try to convince me to give a newborn the Hepatitis B vaccine when the infant had no Hep-B positive contacts at all so that when the kid has sex at 15 they'll have immunity - but they never tell you that only 50% of kids will have any detectable immunity at that age.
* A pediatrician tried to sell me on the meningitis vaccine because my kid is riding the bus to school and someone got meningitis on a bus (turns out it was an 8-10 hour ride sitting next to someone coughing on an Amtrak bus!)
* A friend was told that her son couldn't catch chickenpox from the varicella vaccine. She was livid when he ended up having pustules because she didn't know that it was a live vaccine.
* Boys have been told that getting the HPV vaccine will prevent "cancer" implying it would prevent all cancer.
Personally, I hope this leads to a new relationship between doctors and patients where questions and discussions are welcome and where the decision making actually lies with the patient. All of the selling pharma does from showing up in Med School, to taking doctors to dinner, to playbooks on how to coerce vaccine-hesitant parents, to insurance (or the state) paying different amounts to pediatricians based on what percentage of their clients are fully vaccinated on time..... And if a doctor *doesn't* recommend a vaccine, they can be sued if the patient gets the disease, but not if the patient is injured by the vaccine - lopsided liability. Once you learn these things, you stop trusting.
Once you learn these things, you stop trusting. Now everyone is learning to stop trusting. I hope it'll change the medical profession for the better, because without truth, I don't know how anyone can possibly have health.
I’m not sure what happened to good old fashioned “we were wrong but here’s what we are doing to fix that” statements. Lawsuits? Fear of people losing respect for the medical establishment? I wonder how current world events will shape the foreseeable future in medicine as we try to say something that’s happening isn’t.
As time goes on, the FDA and CDC won’t be able to hide the fact that boosting young men was harmful and that, very likely, vaccinating young kids was harmful. If that is conclusively proven, I suspect credibility in these agencies will go down further." And sadly, nothing else will change.
It looks like the FDA and CDC are outsourcing research on covid vaccine efficacy and safety to the private sector or Europeans. Never mind that this is or should be a major responsibility of these organizations.
the CDC admitted that it omits information regarding covid vaccines. Here's a central point of this article:
"Kristen Nordlund, a spokeswoman for the C.D.C., said the agency has been slow to release the different streams of data [regarding covid boosters] “because basically, at the end of the day, it’s not yet ready for prime time.” She said the agency’s “priority when gathering any data is to ensure that it’s accurate and actionable.”
Another reason is fear that the information might be misinterpreted, Ms. Nordlund said"
In other words, the CDC suppresses information that it deems 'might be misinterpreted'. Shouldn't interpretation rest with medical professionals and the lay public? This patronizing attitude is one of the main reasons that the CDC has ruined its reputation. It's worth pointing out that the NYT rarely reports anything negative regarding official covid policy, so I was a bit surprised when I saw this article.
Every single vaccine insert lists seizures as a side effect so I think Vinay is right about this one. I was even going to challenge everyone/anyone to find a vaccine on the childhood schedule that doesn’t list seizures. So I go to get the link and start clicking through inserts, and abracadabra, it’s gone. I remember pouring through each and every vaccine insert when my kids were being force vaccinated and it was always on there. Section 6. Only 2 possible explanations. 1) I’m crazy. 2). More fuckery. I realize I sound partial, however I don’t for second think I’m crazy. Here’s what I notice: Look at the dates.
How interesting. All these vaccines that have been on the market forever all have newer release dates, which also means, new package inserts. This is the point where old me would start digging through Wayback to find the actual older inserts as proof, but I don’t need to do that anymore. Never again will the A-holes convince me that I am the crazy one. Anything that causes a fever can cause a febrile seizure, so we know from basic common knowledge that it should be on there for that reason alone; but they did also use to list afebrile seizures as well.
All I can say is, this crap didn’t start yesterday. It’s really good to know what’s been going on, for how long, and what we can do about it. This old article that was printed in Rolling Stone 2005 is the tip off to all 3 of those things.
