Recently the New York Times offered a bold claim; If you are worried about your child getting Monkeypox in school, just have them wear a mask.

Just when I thought we had reached rock bottom of ridiculous reasons to wear a mask, they are back for more. What are the implications for such a recommendation? What does it tell us about media and public health?
