My eyes were opened once I read RFK Jr’s incredible book The Real Anthony Fauci - I would recommend it to anyone with the courage to discover the truth about this man, whose 50 year reign has seen American public health plummet, while enriching himself and his Pharma partners.

You are a perfect example of the saying “you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.” You clearly didn’t read the book, and that’s ok. Sometimes ignorance is bliss (and in your case, stupidity is even better!)

Vinay, you forgot a major one-Asymptomatic spread is a major driver of transmission.

This fallacy was essential to convincing a healthy population to submit to (and often embrace) the unprecedented and devastating NPIs you mention.

Read "The Real Anthony Fauci" by RFK Jr. to learn the truth about Fauci.

Anyway, it is pure wishful thinking that we will get a more balanced journalism in the future. The mainstream media is brought to you by Pfizer.

Meanwhile stop wasting your time reading or listening to mainstrema media. That is the only way some positive change may occur, if at all.

I wrote about you (and saint fauci) over at the federalist today, hope you like it. Thank you for all you do!

That article gave me chills - reminded me of the line in “Braveheart” where the king discusses breeding out the Scots. I feel that’s what happens here - teach the young and vulnerable to obey.

Adrian, great article.

Have you looked into whether there is a religious exemption for citizenship? There is one for immigration.

Remember:

1. in the US, religion is personal - you don't have to have membership in a church that officially objects.

2. Most religions teach you to take care of your body. So if you truly believe that you are damaging your body by taking the mRNA vaccines, it's against your religion.

I do see that they're trying to make this an all or nothing religious thing about vaccines for immigration, but the mRNA vaccines are a very different product from regular vaccines..... Worth fighting. Also, there was involvement of aborted fetal cell lines which is against a number of religions as well.

Alternately, how about giving yourself a medical exemption? You're in Texas not California right?

Good luck, and please try to stand up against this.

We won’t get better journalism. For the most part journalism is dead. The few exceptions are vilified.

Hopefully, we will return to a scientific, evidence based and „cool“ i.e. unheated debate in medicine in the near future, where the pros and cons of interventions are critically weighed and self-critical decisions are made with possibilities to auto-correct if proven wrong. A covidian-friend and colleague of mine replied to my sharing of Prof Prasad‘s review of the masking data: he said „Adolf Hitler!“ (so much for a scientific debate🙄)

Guttermouth's avatar

Prasad = Hitler?????

🤣🤣🤣 The mind has melted.

Andreas Seelig's avatar

To defend my friend: he quoted from a Wikipedia article, in which Prasad was quoted comparing the Covid-measures to Hitler‘s early Third Reich. Maybe this was a little exaggerated (and possibly due to his anger), but the lack of scientific debate and even suppression thereof, the embracing of censorship in the liberal left nowadays does make me feel uneasy in their love of authoritarianism.

TerriM's avatar

Actually, Prasad is not the only one to observe this. I was listening to a talk by Dr. Scott Atlas and Dr. Aaron Kheriarty - both of whom were censored on social media at times for .... asking questions. One of them said "You know who else censors questions? Fascist regimes."

Guttermouth's avatar

Remember when the American left was anti-establishment?

Now everyone's authoritarian except the people under the boot.

Guttermouth's avatar

Actually, I take this back.

What's different now is that the people under the boot have all become pick-me's that think the fed will stomp harder on their enemies if they lick hard enough while they're down there.

To be fair, Hitler is regularly credited with murdering 6 million Jews. C19, likely a man made virus, killed 5-10 million people globally. Sure, there’s a lot of caveats, but there’s also a lot of common ground.

Andreas Seelig's avatar

I try to avoid comparisons (as a German ;) mostly because they aren’t all too helpful in the discussion-here, everybody who wasn’t on the covidian side was labelled a nazi...

I'm wondering if Fauci was actually correct about anything the past three years? I can't think of a single thing.

Guttermouth's avatar

As I have for every day since 2020, I curse his name and wish him every suffering and misfortune.

From Hel's heart I stab at him.

And when he finally gets his due and exits this life, I will lead a pilgrimage to dance on his grave. And then piss on it I've saved up for the fines in advance.

Tyrant. Liar. Thief. Psychopath. A Real American Hero.

The statement about the media making Fauci a saint is particularly true because the media has confused science and religion. Science advances by empirical studies to determine whether theories are correct. Religion is based on doctrinaire statements. Early in the pandemic, John Ioannidis said that he was a scientist so he would make many mistakes as he tested his theories, and those mistakes would lead to reformulation of his theories. Fauci claimed that he is always right, despite the fact that covid-19 was a new disease. Fauci said that getting the vaccine would prevent anyone getting it from catching covid-19 or spreading it. Many people died because of Fauci's ignorance.

If CNN had been around during Galileo's dispute with the Catholic Church, then CNN would have supported the Pope!

"The Media" is just a euphamism for the Communications Dept. of the Democratic Party. They are not separate and discrete entities. Time to wake up.

Media loves an MD who talks the Wellness Mantra EAT healthy/burn up calories with exercise & over hydrate and waste our most precious resource-WATER! So good for the economy. But now the goose who laid the golden egg is dying of diabetes & fatty liver disease and diabetes etc. Soon they can't shop buy eat repeat endlessly which of course Dr. Fauci doesn't do himself but he has to cover for the fraudulent CDC BMI stats where a 5'6" female is NOT obese at 185. He is 5'7" and probably weighs 135. Soon it won't matter since waistline is the only measure says the WHO and we are so screwed with this one: average American female waistline is 38.7 and 35inches is OBESE!

I also hope to win the lottery. We need better solutions that hope for change.

Media has fallen to the same bottom as the healthcare phenom of praying to the alter of patient satisfaction - likes and ratings matter. Reality does not. I stopped filling out surveys a long time ago.

Explanation hypothesized by cardiologist very plausible, and in several dimensions. The "media" have much to explain with regard to how the COVID pandemic coverage has been so dishonestly and disingenuously choreographed to date. One matter that has given me a chronic pain in the perianal region is the repeated exposure by one cable giant to the opining of "medical experts" like that forgettable, slippery, self-promoting neurosurgeon: you know who I'm talking about, the guy with the bleached teeth who has NEVER had a single bit of training or any credentials in the fields of virology, epidemiology, or infectious disease. Many lay folks in 'Murika have been hornswoggled and hoodwinked by his stunning bullshit spewed out so many times on the air, and that is only one of many examples of "media malpractice" that could be cited in a Bill of Particulars.
