Because misinformation is information that’s not controlled. The people we’ve let seize control over our society are really bad at decision making, so they need to control information. They have no shame in being wrong, and they pay no consequences for their stupidity.
Ignore her. Getting publicity of *any* kind is something that self-promoters crave. It is their oxygen. Surely you know this. Ignore her.
