I will definitely read this, but I have to say that I am amazed that between your clinical and research duties, and your endless reading and evaluating of other medical research, that you find time for "leisure" reading!!!

I read this book after seeing the review (and avoiding the spoiler), and also because I read Catton’s previous book and liked her writing style. I mostly agree with the review, but absolutely hated the ending! Honestly, I sort of wish I read the spoiler; the ending was so disappointing. It represented such a pessimistic take on our collective future: Billionaires and surveillance capitalism will kill us all. Our only hope is maybe we can take them down too. The compromise, per se, was the classic compromise of watering down moral conviction in a trade off for expanding the reach of your message. The one character who didn’t compromise was Tony. He died too, but maybe got the word out in the end? Unknown.
