Why are the females always portrayed as the crazy ones???? You could have at least called her Karen! 😉

Here in LA, it's not rare to see super-maskers and people who still think you must get the jab.

It's sad that Joyce associates her political affiliation with how she navigates Covid, and who she excises from her life. I just have not been able to understand how if you follow the data, and it doesn't agree with the lefts Covid narrative, you become an ignorant bleach drinking right wing tea party Maga thumper. I don't recognize the Democratic Party that I grew up with: definitely not the peoples party.

Very funny 😆. Next time, just say you’re asking 5 people. We can’t assume they are all “normal” until we read their answers 😷

The thing that really gets me is seeing obese people and smokers wearing masks outside. Like . . . you probably have bigger things to worry about than Covid.

Sadly, this is satire coming to life. The "have to ruin my life to remain a member of my political party" is spot on. Apparently, virtue signaling is more important than being good these days. But recently, I was on a plane and there was someone who was double masked. And that N95 was on tighter than Modanna's spanx, I'm sure. And he proceeded to wipe down EVERY inch of the seat/screen. And I felt pity because he looked TERRIFIED. What kind of living is that? And what did he tune into watch? Yup..MSNBC.

I live with Jackson (West Virginia) and work with Joyce (Maryland).

At the end of my work day, I can’t wait to get back to West Virginia!

He is really funny IRL. Ive listened to ( it seems hundreds) of his podcasts. All so damn funny while relaying a bigger, serious point.

I know someone in Madison, WI who would think Joyce is being reckless for leaving the house, traveling and ordering takeout.

Yes, it had it's humor, but to me the entire scenario is sad.

It's sad to hear about Joyce and her beliefs and how she can't see the incongruity of it.

I can relate to Jefferson because I, too, am a senior. You can label me any "..ist" you want, but seniors do see life through different eyes than younger people.

Nathan - When I was a younger person I was proud to live in the US. I believed we were the strongest and best nation in the world, especially during the Kennedy administration. This is how foreigners see us. We lack common sense, the government has no control whatsoever, and we're weak. I'm embarrassed

Jackson - well, what can I say. He's the generation of filterless speech.

To sum it up, I become quite angry when I'm forced to mask. I've chosen not to because of the research I've kept up on, and I don't outwardly judge anyone for their beliefs, so to be beaten into submission (or not participate in the _____) is demeaning.

(From the LA area)

An audiology lab next to the oral surgeon I went to a few times requires masks . . . I mean I guess it's technically a healthcare setting? I have no idea, really. My regular dentist doesn't require masks at all, and he and the staff only wear them when working on patients (obviously so their spit doesn't fly into our eyes or mouths).

I think the LA Central Library is still requiring proof of vaccinations, and I've seen events in LA requiring masking indoors still.

What's saddest is seeing kids masking outside over here. Not as many as before, but still fairly common.

No, the reason dentists wear them is so we dont have to smell your breath (and vice-versa)!

Joyce threw me…because I have a relative in LA with the same attitude, and sadly she, too, suffers from mental illness. It’s very sad.
