Speaking of science fiction, I read elsewhere today that Anthony Fauci denies that there were lockdowns during Covid. I did not believe I could become even more infuriated with that petty tyrant.

Meaning "life expectancy", which was ballyhooed as decreasing during the Covid panic, is a measure with little meaning for day to day life. The metric is meaningless to any individual. At most it is a gross measure of a society's healthiness. So of course life expectancy was one of the pieces of fear porn that was used - mainly by folks looking for clicks and attention. Just like this week's appearances on media by some defectors from the AI LLM-building projects.
People believe COVID vaccines can save you from sever disease...so why not AI can kill us. They may be the same bucket of people. I bet you they vote blue.

AI won't kill us all. Maybe it will kill some of us, or many of us, but certainly not all.
And AI certainly will not cure all diseases because nothing can ever cure all diseases.
Agree with vinay 100% on this. The current panic that AI will kill us is probably to increase the value of the companies’ ipo.
