Clearly some of these fellas need to just pick up a guitar and sing. I’m 61 and meh looking - plus I have a spina bifida L5/S1 body that’s had a load of surgeries…but dammit I can still drop my bride’s panties with a song. 😍

ITS is a possessive pronoun -- just like "his", "hers", or "theirs". IT'S is a contraction meaning "it is". Vinay: Please sharpen up your proof reading. I worry about Presentation Of Self. People who ride around on turnip wagons say things like, "I saw a cow and IT'S color was brown". I do agree that time in the sun is GOOD -- but be sure to always use at least SPF 50 on the face **including especially the nose**. Later in life (I am now 83), you don't want to have put yourself into the corner of needing local excision of some early cancer on your face -- or God forbid on your nose. On your butt or your abdominal wall or your left forearm, so what. . . . .

I am team sun. Love that. Could you do a blog on sunscreen. People keep telling you to use it but has the data shown a reduction in skin cancer? Or are we finding things as a result of diligence, access to care, CYA? I had two spots that the dermatologist told me we should cut out. I said I wanted to wait because the results were inconclusive. He said well we tell you to cut it out to cover our asses. Waiting is fine. A year later, the same area they took the biopsies from, totally fine an no need to worry. I think this is a money making scheme?!

I think better looking people get better care from inpatient nurses and a better chance at survival, especially in the ICU.

All your points are valid. Although I would say that you missed the fact that a significant number of male looksmaxxing influencers endorse the use of anabolic steroids even for kids that are still growing and are only of high school age, and who haven’t even tried strength training without ‘juice’ for significant period of time. There is a YouTuber ‘Shredded Sports Science’ that calls out some of the most grotesque examples of this, for example dudes with severe acne over their entire body, and ones in their early 20s requiring supplemental oxygen because their CV capacity cannot handle the massive muscle bulk.

That sounds frightening. And now I have to go look!

Good looks therefore affects inpatient morbidity and mortality. I believe I have seen such an overall effect.

I like the idea of sunscreen, but on a bike- I sweat it off in a short time. Men whose work is located outdoors should grow a beard to block the sun. I think male competition for female partners has always involved some form of maximizing appearance. But, prior to later 20th century push-button work; men involved in physical labor were restrained by physical demands of the work environment.
