If there is a return on investment, why don’t private individuals or foundations fund it? America is the richest country in history, and plenty of billionaires are incredibly generous, including funding medicine. Michael Bloomberg, Carl Icahn, Sandy Weill and Ken Langone have all made massive donations to medical schools.
My bet is most of the government funding is wasted, which is why people screamed so loudly about potential cuts and why taxpayers are stuck with the bill.
Regarding point 10 and Covid: there were no government studies about many critical areas of COVID policies. No studies about the six foot rule or about masks. Fauci and co. knew in their hearts all those rules were baloney (as he told 60 Minutes as the crisis was beginning). The last thing the public health bureaucrats wanted were any real studies that might show how worthless those rules were. Those studies would have led people to question everything the public health mafia and the Democrats told us about Covid, all of which turned out to be wildly false.
At least we have physician-scientists like Eric Topol, MD to help ferret all of this out - right? It helps to have people like him interpret all of this information - correct?

Perhaps, the vast majority of us who DO report analytical frameworks true to observations and direct measurements, including the outliers and self-declared caveats, don't or can't reach those pinnacles of success. And therein lies the great mishap, the falsification of the public record.

So why would we even be surprised that preprints.org refused to publish our work re the clots embalmers and cath lab workers have been finding.
