What deficiency is the greatest concern in medical education?
In a recent, well written and balanced article in the Atlantic magazine, Ben Mazur makes many of the same points that I made in my prior piece on UCLA and leaked medical school grades. You can read that my thoughts on that here:
But towards the end of his piece, he makes one argument that requires a deeper dive.
”I have seen more people hurt by doctors who don’t know how to speak Spanish or build rapport than by doctors who forgot the name of a blood vessel.”
