Dear Dr. Prasad: Despite your voluminous publications all of them a reflection of your dedication to medical knowledge, I assume that you have not been invited to the National Academy of Medicine. Regard your absence as a badge of honor. Your thoughts and writings have forced on them a modicum of honesty. I read your posts regularly as do many others. Your efforts are applauded by thousands

Ultimately, pushing a certain ideology may have the opposite intended effect. We’re already seeing drops in childhood vaccination rates because of the merciless pushing of unnecessary boosters.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It is not surprising, but it is so very disappointing. I hate to say it is Maoist in its essence, but it is: members must praise the party and the great leader. All others will be shamed and vilified and thrown into the street, professionally speaking.

Puts one in high rage! The National Academy Covidian Morons. Unfucking believable. Well, actually, given what has transpired thus far, guess it is believable. The bigger the lie, the more awards you receive! What a great institution!

Dr. Prasad, but to be fair to National Academy of Shame, I mean, Medicine....the bubble has to be maintained. AT. ALL. COST. no? Or so it seems to this lay non-academic, non-medical, non-policywonk but ordinary citizen who uses life learned lessons.

I don't suppose Bonnie Maldonado's colleague Jay Bhattacharya gets an invite, does he?

The most non-evidence based period in history....

Any narrative once established takes on a life of its own. How did we deal with the flu and other contagious diseases in the past. I worked in Emergency Medicine for 20 years, then Urgent Care. We never had any of these mandates for masking or mandatory vaccinations. How did we manage? How did we all survive? If you look at large collections of Asian populations, you will see masking is just accepted. It is just bureaucratic decision-making. "We have to do something." Even if it's wrong. So what does Dr. Prasad do at UCSF Medical Center?

I have asked many times and have never gotten an answer. Part of that is because as near as I can tell (and I have put in many, many comments over the years some with hundreds of upvotes) he does not read user comments (or if he does, never responds).

I love Vinay and much of what he does (not all -- I was the first one to call him out long ago when he said masks were "bio plausible". I told him then that geocentricity was plausible when Galileo was around, but it was still 100% wrong. To his credit he has changed his views...but it took time even though all of the data has been there since the beginning.)

So we still don't know the "put your money where your mouth is" answers and likely never will. But I still applaud his willingness to put his mouth in the right place and to at least try to read and respond to the evidence.

Yes he’s been championing this cause for years and I owe him a lot for keeping his readers informed on what the evidence actually shows. I appreciate having someone I trust to read the studies and provide evidence based analysis so I don’t have to read them all.

The same clueless muppets would also be "fighting the climate$ crisi$"...as they drive around with electric cars(built and powered by fossil fuels)...Once you find a Covidian you find a find a "climate warrior"...when questioned on either of course, they think a strength of their position is that they know nothing.. and cannot argue but they "trust the science"....

When people say they "trust the science," what they really mean is that they trust the experts (who are chosen by the mainstream media to promote a particular narrative).

People who really know and undertstand the relevant scientific issues don't use the words "trust" and "science" in the same sentence.
